Mary Lou RifeMary Lou Rife manages communication and marketing projects for health and education-related clients. For the past 25 years, Mary Lou has provided a full range of services to government agencies, corporations and non-profit organizations – from research that identifies consumer needs and targets specific audiences—to developing materials that convey, through effective text and graphics, key messages designed to change behavior.

Mary Lou has served as project manager for health communication programs at several institutes at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Some of the health areas she has addressed include cancer prevention and treatment, cardiovascular health, alcohol and drug prevention and treatment, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, obesity, eating disorders, tuberculosis, teen pregnancy prevention, mental health, and asthma. Most projects focused on underserved and/or populations that experience health disparities.

Mary Lou received her PhD from the University of Maryland and a Certificate of Business from the New York University School of Business Administration, as part of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
